David Chen is the vice president of Advanced Payment Systems, Product Sales & Delivery for MasterCard Worldwide in Asia/Pacific. David is responsible in supporting and managing all aspects of EMV smart card migration and MasterCard® PayPass™ contactless/mobile payment programs for MasterCard customer financial institutions in Asia/Pacific. David is also responsible for strategy and deployment of other value added MasterCard smart card applications, such as MasterCard Open Data Storage (MODS), loyalty applications, stored-value programs and Smartcard Internet authentication, known as MasterCard Authentication Program (CAP).
In 1987 David was with Alcatel Australia as a Graduate design engineer, working in micro-electronic hardware and software telephone product design. In 1994, he joined Keycorp, an Australian company specializing in complete secure electronic transaction solutions from multipurpose smartcards and payment solutions to fleet services comprising asset management, help desk support, training and consulting. In 1997, David set up the Hong Kong regional office for Keycorp (Asia) Limited and was appointed as the CEO. In January 2001, David joined SecureNet Asia Limited (SNA), a joint venture between PCCW, SecureNet Australia and HSBC. SNA specializes in ebusiness security solutions, such as PKI infrastructure, smart cards, Enterprise Portal Management (SSO), as well as, e-payments. David was the COO of SNA prior to joining MasterCard Worldwide in June 2003.
At MasterCard, David has closely involved in numerous smart card projects in Asia including HKID card, transit and EMV/contactless (MasterCard PayPass) payments.
David has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Queensland (Australia) and a Masters in Commerce (Accounting) from University of New South Wales (Australia). |

Siew Ling joined QB (now a subsidiary of Korvac International Systems Pte Ltd) in late 2002 and currently heads the company as General Manager, Micropayments. She was part of the pioneer management team to promote and extend the use of the ez-Link card for consumer payments in Singapore outside of bus and train usage, ez-Link card being the only islandwide transit card carried by most Singaporeans today . As exclusive partner to EZ-Link Pte Ltd for non-transit payment and loyalty applications, QB works closely with financial organizations, government and regulatory bodies, merchants and retailers to entrench contactless chip cards as the preferred choice for consumer electronic payments in Singapore. Prior to joining QB, Siew Ling was with Visa International where she moved across different departments in Technology, Marketing and Product Sales as well as Strategic Projects departments, with her last role there as Director, Chip Implementation, for EMV migration across Asia Pacific region. She also worked in DBS Bank as Assistant Vice President in the IT dept responsible for several of the Bank¡¯s consumer banking systems, as well as responsibility for the Bank¡¯s data communications network before that. She started her career with National Computer Systems Pte Ltd. Siew Ling graduated with a Degree in Science, majors in Mathematics and Computer Science, from the National University of Singapore. |

Jason Zhang, greater China regional General Manager for BU Automotive and Identification, NXP Semiconductors, is responsible for marketing and sales of both automotive and identification products in Greater China region.
A 15-year high-tech industry veteran, Zhang joined Philips in 2002 as Director for Corporate Strategy and Business Development based in Shanghai, where he played one of the key roles in the development of Philips¡¯ China Strategy which aimed to grow its business significantly over five years.
In 2004 he was assigned to T3G Technology Co. Ltd., a Philips' joint venture with Datang Mobile, Samsung Electronics and Motorola, specialized in IC design for TD-SCDMA 3G baseband, where he held the position of CFO.
In year 2005, during the business renewal program of then Philips Semiconductors Division, Mr. Zhang was assigned to the current position to lead the business in Greater China for the newly created BU Automotive and Identification. As Philips Semiconductors spun off as NXP Semiconductors in September 2006, Mr. Zhang continued the same role and responsibility in the new company.
Mr. Zhang holds a BS degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, an MS in Engineering from Stanford University in United States, as well as an MBA degree from INSEAD business school in France.

Greg Pote is Chairman of the Asia Pacific Smart Card Association (APSCA), the Asia Pacific division of an international affiliation of Smart Card associations established around the world by the Smartex organisation. The aim of the Asia Pacific Smart Card Association is to promote the adoption of smart card technology, under suitable standards, for all relevant private sector and public sector applications across the Asia Pacific region including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. APSCA offers an unparalleled opportunity for corporations and government organisations, including smart card scheme operators and suppliers, to network, share news and views and promote new ideas, products and applications. APSCA is focused on the commercial and technical aspects of smart cards, and encourages organisations to examine the business case and financial considerations of smart card schemes, as well as technical issues. Greg has over thirteen years of experience in the electronics and software industry in Asia, in hardware and software design, manufacturing and business development for companies based in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and China.
