 3rd Asia Pacific Discussion forum on Transport Revenue Collection [6 Oct 2008]

The Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) of the Ministry of Transport of Thailand and the Asia Pacific Smart Card Association (APSCA) will host the 3rd Asia Pacific Discussion Forum on Transport Revenue Collection, in Bangkok from 16-17 October 2008. The OTP has the support of Bangkok Metro (BMCL) and Bangkok Mass Transit (BTS) in their hosting of the Forum in Thailand.
Over 100 executives from transport operators and transport revenue collection companies in Thailand and Asia Pacific participated the event together with banks, epayments companies, mobile operators and suppliers. The objective is to gather best practice on the further development of transport revenue collection systems for the “Common Ticketing Scheme” initiative in Thailand.
The forum is a unique opportunity in the Asia Pacific region for open discussion between senior executives from transport card scheme operators and their associated companies that operate, or are planning to operate, transport revenue collection systems and contactless payment card schemes.
