7th Government Discussion Forum on Electronic Identity Documents [12 Dec 2008]

The Naturalization & Residency Administration of the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates will be hosting the 7th Annual Discussion Forum on Electronic Identity Documents in Dubai from 13 to 15 January 2009.
The 7th Government Discussion Forum on Electronic Identity Documents consists of one day of introductory government briefings, one day of closed-door discussions by government officers responsible for passports, national identity cards and border control systems, followed by a visit to the new Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, recently opened in October 2008, to see the latest security and border control technologies deployed in the new terminal.
The Naturalization & Residency Administration of the Ministry of Interior have invited government officers from over 50 countries and territories to participate in the forum including government departments from around the Gulf region.
A technology exposition of ePassport, smart ID card, biometric and automated border control solutions will be co-located with the forum to enable government officers,airline and airport executives to learn of the latest solutions for electronic identity documents, biometrics, automated border control and identity management.
