Nimit has been with Mastercard for 10 years. He started in India in merchant acceptance development and then moved to digital payments. He has had extensive experience in driving Mastercard’s e-commerce channel in South Asia and South East Asia. Currently, Nimit is part of the Enterprise Security Solutions team at Mastercard, managing Authentication & Identity Solutions products in APAC region.
Mr. Angus Chiu is serving as VP Sales at NEXT Biometrics for the Greater China market. He has more than 17 years of experience in the technology industry with various roles including engineering, business development and sales management. Prior to joining NEXT, Angus was the Sales Director, Asia at Identity Management and Security (IMS) division of UL, where he gained extensive experience in the Smartcard Industry. Angus holds a Master degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and he is currently a MBA candidate of The University of Hong Kong.
Hunter joined IDEX Biometrics in April 2018 as Director of Sales, China. He has a strong track record of working in key sales, account management, and new market development. His experience in biometrics spans many years, firstly with AuthenTec and then NEXT Biometrics, where he was leading the sales activities for China, India, Japan and Korea. Hunter graduated from Hohai University in Telecommunications Engineering and also holds an MBA degree from The University of Hong Kong.
Tom Rapkoch, Director of Seller Solutions at Visa, has been in the payments industry for nearly 25 years. In addition to continuing to assist with the rollout of EMV and contactless in the U.S., he is helping to implement new products at Visa, including sensor-on-card biometrics and dynamic CVV2.
Henrik has worked at Fingerprints since 2013 and has worked with smartcards for more than four years and as Product Manager for Smartcard for more than three years and has been a main driver for both the smartcard T-shape sensor as well as Fingerprints smartcard SW offering, FPC-BEP.
Michael Scruggs is Chief Operating Officer of InterActive Cards. He leads the company’s operations in R&D and manufacturing, offering engineering solutions to help component and card manufacturers realize their interactive card concepts. An industry veteran with over 20 years experience, Michael is instrumental in developing IAC’s specialized molding process which integrates delicate and irregularly shaped electronic components into industry compliant cards. Michael and his team also designed and built IAC’s automated high throughput manufacturing line. Prior to joining IAC, Michael was an independent engineering services consultant and part of the team who developed thin film batteries for the industry.
VP & General Manager, Advanced Device Components Division, NGK Insulators
Iwao Ohwada serves as NGK’s Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Device Components Division, Electronics Business Group. He is responsible for NGK’s novel high-performance “EnerCera® Pouch” rechargeable lithium ion battery product which is capable for hot lamination process, fast charging and has peak discharge current of several 100mA level suitable to be used for smart card with cellular and/or LPWA network. Mr. Ohwada has more than 25 years of experience in leading the development and deployment of various electronics products and devices at NGK.
Thomas Decker has over 20 years of experience in the card industry. He started his career with SMARTRAC, the leading RFID inlay and tag manufacturer, in 2003. During this time, he has served in different sales & business development related functions. In April 2017 SMARTRAC’s cards & ID document related divisions was acquired by French company LINXENS. Under the new ownership, Thomas is heading the Product Marketing for all Finance, Transit and Access Control products. Thomas holds a Master degree in Engineering from the University of Applied Science in Munich.
