Overview

Due to the COVID-19 situation and travel restrictions around the world, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and APSCA decided to postpone the 6th Border Management and Identity Conference (BMIC) in Bangkok, Thailand to 7 - 9 December 2022.

During the pandemic, IOM and APSCA received feedback from government counterparts, industry experts, and international organizations on border and identity management issues. There is a need for relevant stakeholders to discuss key topics of interest to increase national security and facilitate cross border movements.

In the lead up to the 6th BMIC in December 2022, IOM and APSCA will organize a series of webinars which will pave the foundation for discussions during the in-person conference next year:

>> The first webinar will be held via Zoom on Thursday, 2 December 2021 from 14:00 - 15:30 (GMT+7 Bangkok time).

>> The theme of the first webinar is "Digital Health Certificate for Cross Border Mobility.

Why Attend

This webinar aims to deepen participants’ understandings of different technologies developed for Digital Health Certificates and how they could be used in the border management context.

Extensive discussion among speakers, experts, and participants would also raise awareness of the possibility of having a single international standard for Digital Health Certificates globally.

Four experts from organisations developing digital health certificates will share their knowledge, experiences, and lessons learned with the participants.

Who Should Attend

IOM and APSCA are inviting national government authorities and international agencies involved in Immigration, Border Control, Customs, e-Passports, Health Certificate, as well as companies providing related solutions to attend the webinar.
